Gun for a n00b ?

Well since SOT seems to have plenty of knowledgable people about guns and what not, wondering what gun you would recommend for someone who's never even shot a paintball gun? Lulz.

I'm gonna be in the market early next year..

Just keep in mind I'm not trying to get something with too much kick to start. Something practical and not ungodly expensive, prease.

Take a handgun safety course then buy one of those little .380 Sig Sauers (P238?) that Raven got.

buy a .22.

not a good choice for home defense, but they are cheap to buy, cheap to shoot, very easy to shoot, and great n00b guns.

not only that, but you'll still keep it even if you buy something bigger and more powerful for home defense because it's so cheap and fun to shoot.

my first .22:

It's a Beretta U22 Neos. I paid $300 for it, but I believe they've come down to about $250. Mine is the 6" standard model. The DLX model comes with an engraved slide, but I don't give a shit about that. They are also available in INOX which is Beretta's stainless.

What I love about the gun is the ability to change the grips if I want as well as the option to mount optics, which I took advantage of. I put a Bushnell trophy hunter Red dot (was about $100 if I remember right).

You don't have to go with that gun, but you can go with a ruger or browning which are also great .22 pistols:

i disagree.

although it will probably fit her azn hand better, that gun isn't cheap (for a .380), it's not very easy to shoot, and ammo is rediculously expensive and hard to find.
