lets forget the financial impact. its just another way the liberally controlled government is going to try and impose their tyrannical gun control laws. none of the laws they are going to try and pass, such as this one, are going to prevent the criminal element from getting and using guns to commit crime. laws such as a total semi auto ban that the brady commission and people like nancy pelosi are touting are so poorly written that they encompass most handguns and rifles. massive taxes on ammo and trying to ban gun shows and the gun show loop hole are laws that do not make people any safer from the guys who buy guns from the trunk of a car in the inner city. serializing ammunition would make no difference. in new jersey you cant buy any ammo without a firearms id card, and you cant buy handgun ammo without your name address and firearms id number going into a book which is turned into the state police.
instead of wasting more time and money on completely useless laws, try enforcing the ones that are on the books now, which still dont do anything but weigh down law abiding citizens. i just saw a billboard in palinfield, which is a shithole, that says "buy a gun for someone who cant, get 10 years". like its something new. they caught a guy trying to fool the system by filling out an application for a handgun with false info. so the system works, it just has to be enforced.
