hiding wires...
I've got a 7.1 (only using as 5.1) onkyo surround sound and I'd like to hide the side speaker wires under the carpet... but I'm unsure as to to the best way to get the wire under the carpet and to the receiver...
I don't need people tripping over these wires, or fucking up my system while doing so... its also unsightly... so, how do I do this? |

Get a pair of needle nose pliers, grab the carpet at the wall and pull it up. It is attached to the floor with a little spike strip and those are usually about an inch from the wall so you can tuck your wires between the strip and the wall and then just replace the carpet and push it firmly back into the spike strip.
Pretty simple. |
