hiding wires...

I've got a 7.1 (only using as 5.1) onkyo surround sound and I'd like to hide the side speaker wires under the carpet... but I'm unsure as to to the best way to get the wire under the carpet and to the receiver...

I don't need people tripping over these wires, or fucking up my system while doing so... its also unsightly...

so, how do I do this?

I would try to pull off the molding by the floor and try to stuff it down there.

Get a pair of needle nose pliers, grab the carpet at the wall and pull it up. It is attached to the floor with a little spike strip and those are usually about an inch from the wall so you can tuck your wires between the strip and the wall and then just replace the carpet and push it firmly back into the spike strip.

Pretty simple.

I forgot to mention there is approx... 15-20 feet that the wire needs to travel under the carpet...

Its the entire length of the house LoL. You know how much wiring I would need!!! I'm thinking about just getting a wireless system that way when I move it'll fit wherever I go.
