The XM and Sirius Merger

I used to have XM but now I have Sirius in the new car, i know a few guys on here have it but Stern keeps playing these clips of that stock broker guy Jim Cramer (i believe his show is called mad money) about the merger and how the gov't is trying to stop it.

Stern said it the other day that Sirius prob wont make it through the rest of the year if there is no merger they will go bankrupt, any thoughts from anyone?

look at the stock prices, sirius is close to being dead, they made the mistake a few years ago of counting all the subscriptions of new cars sitting on lots aas revenue when they were in fact not.

im more curious as to if they merge what would the current subscribers of each get. Im assuming there would be a whole new channel lineup

yes, but they are still losing money. If the 2 hooked up, it would save a combined 2 billion or something like that. Its been a while since I checked on it.

I have 3 Sirius accounts, i would be pissed if it went bankrupt and no way in hell will i ever listen to regular radio again.

i just hope if there is a merger and Sirius goes away my car can get whatever signal with the hardware i have alreadly
