it used to be squaresoft, hands down, however that changed when final fantasy went online and terrible. games like crono trigger, super mario rpg, final fantasy 3 (6 in japan), finaly fantasy 7, 8, 9, 10, final fantasy tactics, all awesome games.

capcom is great. street fighter, resident evil, dead rising, darkstalkers, megaman, yeah capcom is my fav as of late.

props to nintendo tho. 20 years and still strong.

Other than that it's pretty hit and miss with who makes a good game I can really get into.

Capcom is pretty good as well. Gotta love Devil May Cry

I just wish they'd get back on track and cater to the Sony fanbois like they used to!

Honestly though, I just want companies to bring "Great Games" back to the market. It seems like a game will have good graphics but a shitty story. Good story, shitty controls/gameplay. Good everything, ultra short game....

you hit the nail on the head right there buddy.

the last epic game i played that was just awesome in every way (story, graphics, controls, etc) was metal gear on ps3. the story was gripping and left you guessing with a very cool ending (don't want to spoil it, but it's fucking AWESOME), the graphics were some of the best a console game has seen, and the controls were right at home with the last games with a few new tricks (although there was one trick missing... snake could do some cool new stuff but apparantly forgot how to lean against a wall and pop out to shoot at an enemy... wtf?)
