Combining 2 current topics: Its Over & I need motivation

Well, not to steal any one else's topics, but my wife of 16 years made it official last night, its over. She pretty much wants no more to do with me except when it has to involve our daughter. It just so happens I joined a gym yesterday. Hopefully this will be a constructive outlet for me get some frustrations out at. Only I have never worked out before. I dont to rip anything, so how should I approach this? BTW, since this all started 2 months ago, I have lost 25+ lbs, so if you want to loose weight, breaking up with someone you love does wonders.

Thanks, we are still just waiting a little while on getting the actual divorce, though. But I am actively looking for a 20+yo female room mate to help with the bills. Never had a roomie before, so I think a chick will be easier to handle being a room mate with, and easier for my daughter when she stays over.

Good luck with the split man. After all the discussions here regarding this issue, I think it's best for you. Gym is an excellent way to release stress on your body. Also, it will get you in good shape for when you decide to start dating again.

I am hoping this will be a decent outlet to meet new people. I was so wrapped up with life with the wife, I never took time to make any of my own friends.

I am told (personal experience) that having a child often changes people and they grow apart. It's not that she or you are a bad person, you just can't agree to disagree anymore. I hope it works out well for all parties involved and that you always put your daughter first.
