Well guys I just got a place... I have a 42 inch panisonic Plasma. it is 720p. about 2 years old. I want to get something bigger. I am real tight on budget. I was looking something in teh 52inch range. I saw a few 1080p samsungs that looked nice for under 2k.

Anyone have any suggestions? I want a 1080p and probably want to stick with LCD. and would like to be under the 2k mark.

Samsung or Sharp Aquos.

word. i have a philips with ambilight and i love the tv. i think the ambilight gives it a really cool effect at night. my .02

i got my 50in panasonic plasma 1080p for $1700 at sears try there

You'd be better off sticking with plasma in that size range as LCD's tend to cost quite a bit more for the same size, at least last time I did my research.

we have a 42" lg and a 57" mitsubishi and they're both great tv's, reasonabily priced.
