Music from iPod to PC

I've looked up a bunch of solutions/programs already and none of them seem to work, so has anybody here used something along these lines?

why don't you just authorize your computer to your ipod, through itunes.

EphPod didn't, I removed and then replaced the hidden folders in an effort to follow other directions.
