AVG Email scanner

I keep getting an AVG pop up notification saying Email Scanner 59.60.149.118
not accessing any email or doing anything but using FF
I did a spyware, virus and malicious software scans and nothing came up
any recommendations as to what do totry to stop this?
is there a way to block a computer fomr being able to access that particular IP?

That's a Chinese IP address. I would be worried.
