Need vid card help...

So fallout 3 comes out in 2 weeks and I want to spruce up my rig.

Currently:
AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 dual-core processor 3800+ (2.0 Ghz x 2)
2GB's (4x 512mb) 400 MHz (PC3200) DDR memory
GeForce 7950 GT KO (512)
550w PSU

Full spec list here:
????????????????

Anywho, was planning on swapping out my 512's for 1g's from G skill
Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Desktop Memory

And now the problem lies in what video card to get...

Was thinking GeForce 9800 or some derivative of that. Open to suggestions, looking to keep it at or below $200'ish.

Option 1:$115 MSI 9800 GT
Newegg.com - MSI N9800GT 512M OC GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Option 2: $170 EVGA 9800 GTX+
Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P3-N873-AR GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

Option 3: Whatever you guys suggest. Feel free to kick me some knowledge =)

Many thanks guys!!

Can't do it. I'm a fallout fan since number 1 so I think it NEEDS to be played on the PC. Besides that, they made it into a semi-FPS and IMO FPS are meant to be played with a keyboard and a mouse.

Besides, the PC needs an upgrade anyway, FO3 is just the catalyst.

radeon 4850 for your price range then down the road add another when you need some more horsepower.

Alrighty, thanks for the input guys. I'm glad you guys turned me on to the 4850 because the 9800GTX needs 2 6 pin PCI-E power inputs and I only have 1. Looks like the 4850 is the way to go.

Thanks. Ordered one from newegg with a cooler so big it needed an extra slot...

A slot I didn't have, FUCK.

So now I get to pay to ship it back plus a $30 restocking fee, but the good news is I have another one on the way!!

^_^
